Pearl River Sound is the moniker of Italian musician Roberto Semeraro based in Rome and emerged on the scene with a release on the Seattle label Further Records. The event of the first release was really a surprise for its author, because PRS music was thought only as something strictly private and intimate.
Since then, PRS has become part of the group of young Italian talents under the supervision of veteran Massprod for the first release of his label Woland Records, performing in Milan and Genoa. In 2014 Jimmy Billingham aka Holovr released the follow-up to PRS Further Records 2012 debut under his new label Indole Records.
In 2015 he released his first EP for Meda Fury, a division of legendary R&S records.
PRS has a pure, infant and melancholy sound, influenced by a mom who used to play classical music at the piano and by electronic music of the 90s, the one that was the soundtrack of cartoons and documentaries.
